A cursive H is easy to write, nearly identical to a handwritten capital H. The lowercase h in cursive is also much like the handwritten form of the letter. Learning the cursive letter H maybe one of the easiest in the whole cursive alphabet.
The letter h in cursive usually connects to the letter e and letter i in words like:
Cursive b’s also connect to the letter a and letter o in many words. Some of these include:
After you become comfortable with writing the letter h in cursive, practice writing “he” together as well as “hi” and the other connectors. These “connectors” will help you understand how cursive works to form words.
Bonus Practice: Try writing entire words with the letter y. H doesn’t connect directly to y, but there are many words that include both digits.
As you see in the diagram (above), begin the capital cursive H on the left of the top line. Bring your stroke to the bottom line, then take it back up to the center dotted line, making a line, then repeating the first step.
Remember to leave a tail on the bottom right line when finishing the letter so that it can connect to form words.
Now you can write a capital H in cursive!
